PA 05 -- Mark McCracken Wins Democratic Nomination

Congratulations to Mark McCracken on a landslide victory in District 05! I am highly encouraged by the numbers he is posting. Many have tried to say that a Democrat can’t win District 5, I hate to burst their bubble, but this is now a Blue State!

GOP race is “still too close to call” at 78% counted. Four way race between Shaner, Walker, and Thompson, and Stroehman.

C-A-H-I-R . . . sounds like Care."

As I work with Bill Cahir on his campaign, there has been one thing that continues to stand out. No matter where he goes, or who he calls on the phone, he is always having to tell people how he pronounces his last name. Sure, it is spelled C-A-H-I-R, but it sounds like “Care.” Honestly, we laugh about it a lot, but Bill seems to take it all in stride and is rather patient about it.

So we decided, if he was going to be so cool about it, why not just use it as a way to launch our first online ad.

You can check it out over on our media page at http://www.billcahir.com/content/page/title/Media

There is no changing his last name so we may as well use it in our bid to become the next congressman in the fifth district and change out the mess in Washington.

PA 05: Shaner "The PSU Drop-out" Has Serious Cash To Spend!

UPDATE! I found a pic on Google of his staff drinking in Shaner’s headquarters when he ran for state house! BETTER YET A pic of Shaner at Pickles in November…From my own cell phone. He was stumble, fall down, I-don’t-know-who-I-am drunk when I took this. I was with friends, and were shocked at this behavior from the man that would be State Rep Shaner. Check it out at my home blog: Declarations of Pride.

PA 05 -- Mark McCracken Enters the Race

Welcome to pool Mr. McCracken! It is nice to see a Democrat with strong credentials (at least on paper) reach out to the blog community as part of launching his candidacy.

He sounds great on paper. What say you? I would love to hear some input from those of you in the Clearfield area who have first hand experience of this new candidate for the 5th District seat.

Attached below is his official press release. I have added some points of emphasis for your approval.  read more »
