Uncommitted Delegates Urged to Choose on Tuesday

I thought Jason Altmire had chosen already, honestly, but I guess not. The sooner the better at this point – I’d like to know where PA’s uncommitted delegates stand! My guess is that they’re all leaning toward Obama at this point but not committing out of deference to Clinton.

Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign is urging uncommitted members of Congress to formally endorse the Democratic front-runner as voters in Montana and South Dakota head to the polls so that the Illinois senator can clinch the presidential nomination Tuesday night.

Rep. Jason Altmire (D-Pa.) said he was encouraged on Monday to back Obama now, and while the uncommitted freshman member will not support a candidate until later this week, he expects other lawmakers to endorse on Tuesday.

Altmire waits it out...

This is one of those issues that probably only matters to wonks and political insiders…and geeks like us :-)

The truth is, not many people in Jason’s district are losing any sleep over who, and when, he’ll commit to a candidate.

And, if the word on the street is correct, it sounds like, after tomorrow, the issue will be settled for him.

He knows that Hart and her camp are poised to strike and I think it was smart for him to hold off…

Let there be no hooping and

Let there be no hooping and crying.Let there be silence.Let the silence eat you and speak to you about days gone by. Democracy has pitched its flag high for all to see the Beacon of hope that President Ronald Reagan spoke about.
“United we stand divided we fall” President Abraham Lincoln said to unite a divided people. “Ask not what your country can do for you,but what you can do for your country” President Kennedy admonished America.
We salute all Americans. We salute all presidential candidates and superdelegates. Long live the American dream. God bless America.Errol Smythe.

The self appointed

The self appointed political analysts sitting on their tripod thrones of prejudiced opinions continue to nit pick irrelevant issues in the hope that their brand names can alter the impact of the inevitability of the dynamics of change.
What they don’t seem to understand and will find difficult to comprehend is that the polls were wrong more often than they were right because they polled a section of the community and not a cross section of America.
So what else is new?
America wants change.Real change. Not a face lift. Not a gloss over. Not a panel beat job or a surgery operation. No way Hosea. America wants change. Why? Because people know their rights and they know they can vote whoever they want in and vote whoever they want out.The dynamics of change.
So the self appointed political analysts have to fold up their tents, and switch off their Backberries and be out of touch for a while and eat humble pie while they rewrite their scripts of acceptance that reality has won the day and the power of democracy has flexed it’s muscles in the arena of politics and knocked politricks out of the ring with all it’s messy wishy washy tricks of media spin and kitchen sink strategies.
“Yeah man. Right on. Move over old politicks . Step aside. Change is coming through…..”. Errol Smythe.

Hilary Clinton made history

Hilary Clinton made history by winning a great number of popular votes. We salute her.Barak Obama brought in a lot of young voters. We salute him.John McCain ran a clean campaign. We salute him.
In November ,American’s will make the right choice. We salute all American’s,that love America.America needs to get back in the forefront of breaking into safe alternative energy and move away from fossil fuels that have polluted the atmosphere of this great planet.Time is urgent and there is no time for wishy washy leadership. America must move forward. America must recapture the dream and vision of the pilgrim fathers, knowing that all things are possible to them that believe.
There are great things to be done. Mountains to climb and bridges to cross. There is need for world peace, food security and energy efficiency. Time to put away hatred and rebuild broken dreams. The past is past.To day is a new day. A day of new beginnings and great [possibilities. President Abraham Lincoln said “United we stand, divided we fall.” . God Bless America .Errol Smythe.

No need for platitudes on a

No need for platitudes on a day like this. No need for that fake wise look with words taken from a book of works on dusty shelves. No need for sour grape speeches and sad faced people. Spare us the hysterics. Spare America the drama.
What are you ranting about anyway on prime time ?.Talking about this and that and things that don’t matter?
What about energy efficiency and food security? What about world peace? What about the end to religious hatred and the end to all kinds of intolerance ? What about a fair deal for all American’s.?
What about living the American dream in America and not on some far off planet like mars where nothing lives?
Where are our priorities? Where are dreams? Where are the men and women that can step forward and do something for America instead of begging and nagging and insisting and demanding that America does something for them?
“ Ask not what your country can do for you but ask what can you do for your country…” said the great President John F. Kennedy.
“United we stand divided we fall..” said the great President Abraham Lincoln.
America is the “...shining beacon of hope…” said the great President Ronald Reagan.
Great men and women of America elected those great Presidents of America. God bless America. Errol Smythe.

CONGRATULATIONS to Barak

CONGRATULATIONS to Barak Obama. Against all odds spouted by self appointed prejudiced opinionated political analysts so called emanating from the kitchen strategy mass production theorist factory of the old school politics, who punched and crunched inflated and suspected polls to “authenticate” their predictions of a win by anyone else other than Barak Obama.
The Obama 08 political machine went into overdrive and there you are , Obama raced across the finish line whilst the broken down kitchen sink strategy truck was pushed and shoved by half committed supporters tired of a long long race that had already been decided along time ago.
Now there is talk about this and that and the VP spot. Let the dust settle first. And then look at the vitriol spouted by the kitchen sink strategy unit.
The Clinton camp could have called the shots under different circumstances. Right now the Obama Camp should look to it’s own ranks and appoint it’s own VP without no hidden agendas and no unvetted baggage.
The media eye has brought things to this and they know that convention states that the winning Presidential nominee is allowed to choose his own VP.
President Jimmy Carter should be commended for his VP comments.
Sorry Hillary. The Obama camp reserves their right to choose their own VP. Talk of not supporting Obama now was just talk. Democrats must now rally around the chosen Democratic Presidential Nominee and Barak’s choice of V.P., according to standing convention procedures that have not been overruled as at todays date. You did great Hillary. We salute you. You tried. It is time to move on.
The Obama camp can pick their own VP. They earned their right to do so. They have a proven track record on how to run a winning campaign. They don’t need those individuals that devised a strategy on how to lose a campaign big time soiled with spin and mud slinging rhetoric spouted by self appointed disgruntled political analysts to dictate strategy to the Obama camp. Peace to all.Errol Smythe.

The winds of change are

The winds of change are blowing in America. When strong winds blow the great oak tree bends and sways in the wind but never breaks. It’s strong roots burrow deeper into the earth to find water and mineral sustenance and to find support in the safety of the earth’s rich soil of certainty.
Ancient landmarks should not be removed for the sake of change. Radical change brings chaos. Change can be good but change for the sake of change can ring warning bells in the silent corridors of the walls of power where kingsmakers sit in silence and observe the fallacy of immature agents of change who try to impress everyone only to find out that you cannot please everyone and still be popular.
Election 2008 is not a popularity contest. No. American’s know what they want. They will vote you in andf they can vote you out. The honeymoon lasts for a short season before the predator wolves circle for any sign of weakness.
Now is the time to mend the fences that need to be mended and to tear down the walls that need to be torn down. Now is the time to build bridges that need to be built and to remove barriers that need to be removed. Change that brings progress is good. Change that brings chaos and anarchy is bad.The Democratic party will unite around a common purpose, yes for the good of America. “....All the steam of hissing this and that on you tube will blow over. People got to let off steam. Let them scream, but not too loud. The neighbours might hear them. They might be Republicans and they might say “ What’s happening next door? I hear screaming. I hear ranting . I hear %$@! ....” I hope they can get their house in order before November! ....” Errol Smythe,

What is this, the Weenie

What is this, the Weenie Central Thread? Our taxes are going to be jacked ever higher, more stupid programs that can’t work will be instituted, regulations will be imposed that make our lives less enjoyable, no new nuclear reactors will be built, no new oil wells will be drilled, we’ll all have to make do with less, we’ll all be pooreer, and then be told that it’s good for us by those who hate us. No government program works. Adding to them will only precipitate the collapse. But, it will provide jobs for weenies who like to boss their neighbors around.

I’m sure you are refering

I’m sure you are refering to the Bush / McCain Administration. Or maybe the Bush Sr…or maybe the horribly overrated Reagan years that nearly drove this country to fiscal ruin.

You ruined it!

I wanted it to be a surprise and you went and explained evrything that is going to happend in the next four years. Since I can expect to be poorer and my taxes higher, perhaps you can also tell me where I can apply for a job as a weenie. I assume these will be good paying jobs, and quite a few of my neighbors need some direction.

To get a high-paying weenie

To get a high-paying weenie job, you have to be willing to shaft your neighbors while glibly telling lies that “it’s for your own good”.
No telling how far you could advance in a do-gooder administration if you hate your neighbors and will lie to them every time you open your mouth.

Perhaps you can explain why

Perhaps you can explain why my taxes are higher, my fuel prices are higher, the value of my home is lower and my job is in jeopardy and the past 8 years have been under the “tax cutting” party…the sacred ones that are looking out for the common man like me and you. Get over your weenie / nanny blah blah blah and see the Republican Party for what it is…take from the poor and give to the rich. Its tough to argue.

It is common knowledge that

It is common knowledge that there are standard conventions to choose running mates. So it is in election 2008. The alleged friction between the Clinton and Obama camp could have reached vitriolic levels that could have endangered the Democratic Party, but it did not. Guess what,it attracted and invigorated uncommitted voters in the history to stand up and be counted and make history. Where to now with all this talk about the Clinton camp not supporting the Obama camp? It’s all talk. It’s all politics. To be more accurate it’s politricks. The truth is the Clinton camp like the Obama camp are both democrats and like all good families have a little squabble then make up and go on , so what else is new.
Most people know that what is most likely to happen is that there will be a shifting of primary voting position by the majority of voters that were in the Clinton camp moving to the next level of commitment, to Presidential voting position , that is from individual level to party level, from a primary election 2008 polling statement to a declaration of party loyalty rallying around the Democratic Party Presidential Nominee for November 2008.
The polls made it appear that there was going to be a Clinton Administration in Election 2008.It never happened. It would appear that most of the polls polled a small section of a carefully chosen community to present a carefully cardiographed miniscule representation of so called voting trends
in Election 2008 to what would appear to be to scientifically engineer and manipulate poll figures to bolster previous statements of support for one candidate against the other.
True or false? You tell me, did the polls get it right 80% of the time or 65% of the time or maybe 43% of the time? Ask the pollsters, no one is really sure what the self ordained priests posing as self appointed political analysts sitting on their tripods in their temples of media spin were spouting when they made wild predictions of this and that and were wrong most of the time. Why?They relied on cooked up figures that were souped up to make one candidate look better than the other candidate in election 2008.
When things went contrary to the cited polling figures, then media spin kicked and kitchen sink strategy and mudslinging politics. But that is history now. It will be swept under the carpet or placed in a hired skip to dump all the vitriolic garbage in the dumping site graveyard of failed election campaigns.
The Democratic party is on the road to November 2008. One camp lost another camp won. So what? Both camps are democrats and everyone knows the party interests take precedence over individual interest.
The Obama camp has earned the right to choose their own VP. Convention rules in American politics have always been that way. Their choice must be respected because it will be the choice of Obama camp and Barak Obama.Errol Smythe.
