Flip Side: Casey's a Star for Backing Obama

In his courtship of Pennsylvania voters during his bus tour, Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama had a wingman: Sen. Bob Casey Jr.

They hung out in a bowling alley and a sports bar. They spent hours on Obama’s campaign bus, slammed into each other on the basketball court, and teased each other like brothers. They demonstrated such an affection that some members of the traveling party labeled them BFF, the text-message abbreviation for “best friends forever.”

“I just love the guy,” Obama remarked in an interview.

Rendell, Nutter, Murtha are the stars!

I question the judgment of any superdelegate who backs Obama. Hillary Clinton would be by far the better president in terms of ability, experience, accomplishments, temperament, knowledge, and ideas. Murtha, Rendell, Nutter, and everyone who is supporting Hillary have it right.

ugh...

Casey showed real guts in going against the easy pick in Clinton. I respect and like someone who can make a tough stand. And I don’t mean the sort of tough stand that sends us to war without sound judgment to back it up either. Thanks George (worst President ever).

In any event, I will be voting for the DEMOCRAT in November, Clinton and Obama are close enough on the issues for me and both are good leaders. Let’s end the Bush years for the sake of all Americans.

Then let’s all watch history shred the Bush legacy and equate that family name with fools, special interests, and corporate greed.

Casey's not alone

Since the Feb 4 primaries, Obama has been picking up super delegates in bunches. This is from the NY Times:

Margaret Campbell, a Montana state legislator, plans to declare her support for Senator Obama, of Illinois. She becomes the 69th superdelegate he has picked up since the Feb. 5 coast-to-coast string of primary elections and caucus votes.

In the same period, Senator Clinton, of New York, has seen a net loss of two superdelegates, according to figures from the Obama campaign that Clinton aides do not dispute. That erosion may dim Mrs. Clinton’s remaining hopes even more than internal campaign turmoil, which led to the ouster on Sunday of the campaign’s chief strategist, Mark Penn.

Why are they flocking to Obama? Obviously, they see what most Americans see: he’s the better candidate. From the Boston Globe:
William E. Nelson Jr., a professor of political science at Ohio State University, said the shift in superdelegate support toward Obama reflects a belief among leading Democrats that Obama would have a better chance in November.

In a Gallup poll released yesterday, 59 percent of Democrats and 64 percent of Republicans said they believed Obama would be the stronger nominee in November.

“Part of Clinton’s strategy was to convince people that Obama was not electable,” Nelson said. “But given the kind of campaign that he has run and the grass-roots support he is receiving, he seems to be far more electable than she is.”

Democrats

I’m confused by all these candidate endorsements. Will Casey not endorse Hillary should she get the Democratic nomination. Time is running out. The dems need to get all of their support behind a single candidate if there is any chance of taking back the White House. This country can’t afford another republican administration.
Soaring energy prices
Increasing nationl debt
Inflation
Unemployment
Costly (life and dollars)War in Iraq
Bailing out banks for their bad decisions(remember the savings and loan fiasco, Neil Bush and company).
The Patriot Act
Obviously I could go on and on. My point is, it has to stop somewhere. The people need to take their country back.
