Challenge to Mann's candidacy dropped

A court challenge to the nominating petitions for a candidate for state treasurer is now closed.

The Commonwealth Court ruling issued Tuesday keeps state Rep. Jennifer Mann on the April primary ballot.

The Lehigh County Democrat’s petitions had been challenged by John Lisko, the campaign manager for Mann’s opponent Rob McCord.

A challenge that Lisko filed against another Democrat in the primary, Dennis Morrison-Wesley, is scheduled for a court hearing on Friday.

The fourth candidate in the race is John F. Cordisco.

Republican Tom Ellis is unopposed for his party’s nomination.
