After reading this, heads on both the left and the right of the political spectrum will be hard-pressed not to explode.
Billionaire newspaper publisher Richard Mellon Scaife, who spent millions investigating President Clinton, said the two had a long lunch over the summer and that he found the ex-president to be charismatic.Mr. Scaife, a central figure in the “vast right-wing conspiracy” that Hillary Rodham Clinton once said was attacking her husband, also says philandering “is something that Bill Clinton and I have in common.”
Mr. Scaife made the remarks in an interview with Vanity Fair, his first interview in eight years, according to the magazine. The comments appear in the February issue in a story about Mr. Scaife’s troublesome divorce from Margaret Ritchie Battle Scaife.
In the story, Mr. Scaife described the lunch at Mr. Clinton’s New York office as “very pleasant.”
“I never met such a charismatic man in my whole life,” Mr. Scaife said.

My head is definitely exploding...
Here’s my take:
Scaiffe wants “open marriages” cause he’s a lying, deceitful lothario…but he doesn’t want to have to pay the piper (see Ritchie Battle Scaiffe divorce filings…) for his misdeeds. Too bad, Richard. It’s a bitch bein’ rich ain’t it!
He liked Clinton when he met him ‘cause Bill IS a likable, charismatic sort, despite his politics. Besides, they both have the Wandering Johnson syndrome in common…
Pilt
Yeah, I agree
I agree, Pilt, the open marriage support is definately linked to the nasty divorce battle.
But, still, I chuckled about how the moralizing right is going to view this from their patron saint.
