Give Harrisburg a rest

The sunlight probably will stop the future awarding of secret financial incentives, but it should be noted that the practice is not dramatically different from what goes on in private industry.

And…

The Legislature has been paralyzed since last May’s primary. Many major decisions have been put off. Further, I think that the Post-Gazette’s call in an editorial for Majority Leader Bill DeWeese, D-Waynesburg, to step out of leadership is shortsighted and contrary to the best interest of all of us in Western Pennsylvania! We need his legislative influence on this side of the state.

Ben – while leadership is most uniquely and also unfairly made its way eastward, it is shortsighted on your behalf to say that DeWeese staying in leadership is good, because it’s not what is best for Pennsylvania. Bully tactics removed committee chairs a little less than a year ago, and served as trolls under a bridge to travel toward the needed changes in the Assembly. I hope Mr. DeWeese’s political leadership changes, but if it doesn’t Pennsylvania would have been that much better if it were under the bipartisan leadership of McCall & O’Brien.
