Danny Bauder has this nugget of information – Kanjorski may have to face some primary challengers. That would make this race exciting!
What’s more interesting is the crop of Democrats rumored to run against Kanjorski in the primary.John Yudichak, state rep from Nanticoke, has been an oft-mentioned primary challenger ever since John’s dad, Joe began asking questions about Cornerstone, a company built with earmarks and run by relatives of Kanjorski. The feud became more public when it was alleged that Kanjorski was funding Yudichack’s former challenger, TGI Friday’s bartender Dustin Grymko.
Chris Doherty, mayor of Scranton has been tossed around as a possible hand-picked replacement for Kanjo, but with rumors swirling about the solvency of the city’s finances, Doherty may have to run earlier thean later. Both Barletta and Doherty have been mentioned as possible candidates for State Treasurer, but the dem field already has two announced candidates, Rob McCord and John Cordisco.
Credit to Gort42 for pointing all this out.

Yudichak
With Kanjorski supposedly pondering retirement anyway, would a strong primary challenge scare him off from seeking another term?
re: Yudichak
I don’t think so. Kanjo weathered the storm in’02 against Barletta, who everyone in NEPA thought would crush the veteran. Yudichak is no lightweight, but I don’t think he can be Kanjorski.
