Maryland let the caps
Maryland let the caps expire and BG&E is getting unbelievable quarterly profits as Annapolis stands by and smiles. The interesting part of MD’s rate hikes is it started in a Republican admin and continues in a Democratic one. The people were just too passive about the whole thing and let their representatives handle it without any threat to losing their office seats. Harrisburg needs to be made well aware that it will be emptied if the caps are lifted. PA citizens cannot afford to have another essential priced beyond any reasonable limit simply because it can be. And when it comes to power producers, competition does equate to lower prices. It has never happened before and it will not happen now. Look at our southern neighbors and you will see what is going to happen.
