I know nothing about psychology other than what I have learned on the Internet (“Are you ADHD? Click here!”), one college course and my friendship with a learned buddy who actually has a PhD in the subject.
So clearly I am in no position to judge exactly what is going on with this bizarre cohort of Hillary supporters who seem hell-bent on cutting off their noses to spite our nation, as if the lack of a Nader campaign has left them without something to screw up.
I’m talking about the “I won’t vote for Obama because he said nasty things about Hillary and he didn’t play fair” crowd. But while I can’t identify the specific pathology involved here, I feel fairly secure in saying that it’s totally nuts! And maybe it’s nothing more than “I’m taking my football and going home.”
A primary is just that. It’s a starting point. It’s where you choose the person your party is going to run against the other guys…or gals. It’s not the end game, it’s just the beginning. So why this enmity? Why this desire for self-immolation? Why this need to punish Obama and saddle the nation with a Bush third term?
I don’t have a clue. But, here’s what I hoping it is not. I’m hoping it’s not something that women are harboring ‘cause they think they were “screwed by men” once again. It wasn’t. Hillary was an amazingly strong candidate and she transcended race and gender. But she did lose. A woman will be President. Just not this time.

Nader IS Running
I’m sorry? Nader IS in the race. And he has my support until your party finds its balls.
Its a long way to November
Its a long way to November and once the debates with McCain start, those that have a problem with Obama will quickly find McCain is the anti-Christ when it comes to the right person for the job.
there is justifiable anger
there is justifiable anger that the party “bigwigs” did nothing to defend her from the really terrible mysogyny in the msm-they also did nothing to defend him from rascist coverage! The “leadership” has indeed been ball-free for the most part since 2006.not a reason to go with the dark side, though.
Nader is nada
I was being sarcastic… BTW, voting for him is a pointless, juvenile, waste of human effort. The only “statement” it makes is that you want the GOP to get more votes. Nader was a Bush enabler…and if you voted for him before, so were you. Feel good about that?
As to Anon’s “no one defended her in the media,” I just have to say this; no on in the MSM listens to anyone, except Wall Street. If they get good numbers by treating someone in a certain way, they’ll do it. The Leadership doesn’t drive the campaign, that’s up to the candidate.
