Based on what I’ve heard and some local sign advertizing, it looks very likely that Carpenter’s Union president Dennis Rosseau is seeking the Democratic nomination to face Jim Marshall (R-I-Big Beaver) in the 14th state house district.

Denny - no way
Denny was involved with Veon and the B.I.G. group. He cannot win this election.
That's over
The problem for Marshall is that although he’s a nice guy, he hasn’t done anything for his constituents. Right now, Beaver Falls is at a critical junction in its life as a city – it can go either way. Big Beaver can’t afford to pay to fix a well-traveled local road because they just don’t have the money or the wherewithal to raise it. He has been useless. I mean he’s practically invisible in the district. I can’t say I’m surprised and I doubt many of others here are, either, because he was a milquetoast on Big Beaver council as well.
Yeah, JD Prose and the Times will have plenty of snarky comments and self-righteous stories, but the folks here want a representative who’s interested in helping the district move forward, not sitting around twiddling his thumbs.

Marshall is worthless
Whatever baggage Dennis brings, at least it is something. Marshall is uneducated, and underqualified for the job. At least Dennis is a working professional. Marshall is and was nothing.
Yeah, he hasn't done much
He was at Clinton’s speech at BF on Saturday. He’s working the Dems hard to win them over. I agree he’s brought nothing to his district. You’re right he was completely unprepared to hit the ground running and spent his entire first year figuring out which end was up. I recall stopping by his office and seeing a petition to sign to stop handgun control. I wondered where his priorities were – in supporting the GOP leadership in Harrisburg or helping his constituents.
