Centre County Democratic Leader Endorses Cahir for Congress

State College, PA – Former Centre County Democratic Party Chairman, Bob Shepherd endorsed the candidacy of Bill Cahir for the Fifth Congressional District of Pennsylvania today.
“It is a proud day for me, when I look at the dedication and achievements that Bill Cahir has accomplished serving the people of our community, Pennsylvania and our nation, to endorse his candidacy for Congress,” said Shepherd. “It is so good to see someone who was born and raised in State College go on to work on so many important issues such as health care reform and the Family and Medical Leave Act, as well as serve his nation as a Marine; offer once again to serve his community as our Congressman. No other person in this race, Democrat or Republican, has worked at Bill Cahir’s level on these matters and he distinguishes himself by not being your run-of-the-mill politician. His experience makes all the difference,” Shepherd concluded.
Bob Shepherd has lived in Centre County for 27 years and has been active in Democratic politics here since 1999 and has played an instrumental role in many election victories.
“The guidance and leadership of Bob Shepherd has been sought after by many Democrats running for office both locally and statewide,” said Bill Cahir. “I cannot begin to express my gratitude to Bob for his willingness to join our team and provide us with his depth and breadth of all that is Central Pennsylvania. I will be forever grateful,” Cahir concluded. *For more information: www.billcahir.com
